Cotton House will close from 4th September 2010 and reopen on 23rd October 2010

The Cotton House Resort is an exclusive luxury resort located on renowned Mustique, a beautiful private island estate in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Surrounded by the pristine, crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Cotton House provides one of the most exquisite holiday locations in all of the Caribbean.

It is widely recognised as one of the Caribbean's top established luxury resorts. Mustique is one of the most exclusive private islands in the world and the Cotton House is the island's only full-service hotel.

Originally an 18th century coral warehouse and sugar mill, the late British designer, Oliver Messel carefully restored many of the original features of the Cotton House.
The Cotton House underwent a full renovation and expansion project, with the restoration of an original Oliver Messel house to the "Coutinot House" which now boasts five of the most deluxe and distinctive rooms and suites.
It also created the two bedroom Cotton Hill Residence, two Duplex Suites, a large swimming pool and a number plunge pools and the total refurbishment of all existing rooms.


Beaches:
Mustique is a picturesque and secluded 1,400 acre island surrounded by nine beaches of pure white sand, with gently swaying coconut palms and warm turquoise waters. Macaroni Beach is perhaps the most famous of Mustique's beaches and is situated on the east coast of the island. Other popular beaches on the Atlantic or Caribbean are Endeavour, Lagoon, L'Ansecoy and Simplicity, several of which have picnic hut facilities. Reservations for picnic tables can be made through the Hotel Reception.

Hotel Accommodation
Seventeen distinct accom-modations, many with private plunge pools, dot the hillside and sea-front of the estate. The structures reflect the old-Caribbean heritage, while giving modern comforts and luxury.

Cottages - " Paw Paw, Guava, Mango Cottages "

The Cottages are charming West Indian-styled individual accommodations with peaceful beautifully landscaped garden views. Bedrooms feature king-size beds with decorative netting, spacious dressing rooms and bathrooms with elevated baths. Each room opens onto a large veranda, furnished with lounge chairs and dining furniture again ideal for a candlelit dinner for two.

Superior Suites comprised of bedroom and separate living room with large privately furnished verandah accessible from both the bedroom and the living room by French doors. Twin beds can be added in the living room for couples with maximum two children. Main bathroom opens off the bedroom, with a powder room located off the living room. Two Superior Suites are located on the upper floor

Deluxe Suites on the lower floor feature private plunge pools which flow from the suites’ veranda with an elegantly furnished pool deck.

Five Sea Front Accommodations comprise the Coutinot House, all with broad vista of the Caribbean Sea and just steps above Endeavor Beach: 4 Deluxe Rooms with private plunge pools, and the Superior Room in the tower.

Duplex Suites " Seagrape & Ficus, Camylarde & Maddox"

Offering breathtaking vistas of the island’s Atlantic side, each suite features a master bedroom on one floor, and large sitting room on the other. Spacious baths and fully equipped dressing rooms are located on both floors making them perfect for families. The upper level features large balconies while the lower level opens onto a large veranda with umbrellas, lounge chairs, and private plunge pool

Cotton Hill Residence

Situated on a hilltop with panoramic views encompassing the Island of Mustique, the Atlantic Ocean and the Resort gardens. This extremely private two-bedroom residence boasting its own large private swimming pool is a new addition to Cotton House. The residence has it.s own dedicated staff, which includes a butler to ensure every request is fulfilled beyond expectations. All the luxuries necessary for living lavishly have been
thought of and each room has been designed to provide the ultimate experience for guests. One of the two bedrooms is set apart from the main living space allowing its occupants total privacy, but close enough not to feel excluded. Each bedroom is large and well appointed with king beds draped in billowy netting. The spacious bathrooms offer extra large soaking tubs, and one has a totally private outside shower which overlooks
the gardens and the Atlantic Ocean. The Cotton Hill residence is the finest accommodation at the resort.

Enjoy the signature Caribbean recipes of the Cotton House cuisine. The freshest ingredients are combined with the perfect wine pairings. Meals are served in two locations daily and can be enjoyed al fresco or in the intimacy of the dining room or in the privacy of your room.

The Boutique:
The Cotton House's boutique is located in the spa complex and offers a range of Cotton House logo wear, exclusive designer clothing, swimwear and beachwear and gift items from Paris and neighbouring Caribbean islands as well as exquisite items made locally on the Island of Mustique.

The Gym:
The ground floor of the spa, houses the well-equipped fitness centre with the state of the art cardiovascular equipment consisting of treadmills, crosstraining, multi-work-out and bicycle machines all with panoramic views through large bay windows across the hotel gardens onto the Caribbean Sea. The use of the gymnasium is complimentary for all in-house guests over 16 years old. Reservations are necessary as only four guests are permitted at any one time in the gymnasium.
